چکیده

The objective of this study was to produce a Carbopol 940 based gel formula containing an Azadirachta indica leaf extract and evaluate its wound healing potential. ethanolic derived from the dried leaves subjected phytochemical evaluation. Three formulations in three different concentrations, i.e., 1, 2, 3% w/w were prepared. These gels evaluated for their physical appearance, stability, antimicrobial activity, extrudability, skin irritability, pH, spreadability, viscosity. prepared formulas stable, greenish homogeneous. None them showed irritation skin. spreadability (g.cm/sec), viscosity (cps), pH all 34.68, 53 270–65 400, 6–7, respectively. Gel-III exhibited highest potential against E. coli P. aeruginosa with zone inhibition 16.2 ± 0.6 mm 15.6 mm, It revealed studies that epithelialisation time Albino rabbits treated 23 days. Gel-I, Gel-II, standard gel, those untreated one (control), epithelialised 27, 25, 26, 34 days, A formulation better physicochemical characteristics, pharmacological parameters than other formulations. can be concluded process faster extract, proposing is promising candidate healing.
